About Diploma of Business

The Diploma of Business provides the core business knowledge and skills needed to move into management roles or become an entrepreneur and launch your own company. You'll learn to research, analyse and interpret domestic and international environments so you can identify and plan business proposals. This course provides a foundation for further study in a Bachelor of Business.
The Diploma of Business teaches you how to research, analyse and interpret the domestic and international business environments. The course promotes critical thinking skills which are used to create strategic business and marketing plans and identify strategic business opportunities. The Diploma of Business consists of eight subjects: four core subjects and four elective subjects. You should choose a minimum of two electives from 100 level subjects; the remaining two electives can be taken from levels 100, 200 or 300. Upon completion, you will also receive course credits to pathway into the Bachelor of Business programs.

Entry to all courses requires proficiency in English under the English Language Proficiency Requirements. International applicants and domestic applicants who have not studied at the secondary level in English must demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements for English language proficiency, specified by the relevant course as outlined in the Admission Criteria for Torrens University Coursework Programs as listed below.
