On-campus security service
Griffith University's security services are available to its students, 24-hours a day, on all of its campuses. If students stay late on Griffith University's campus, the institution's Campus Support Team will help them safely travel to their cars or on-campus accommodation.

Counsellors at Griffith provide helpful tools, strategies and perspectives on personal issues related to relationships, study or work life.
Online Health and Wellness Service
Griffith's online Health and Wellness Centre helps students to find support for their individual needs using the online resources, including health and wellbeing, mental health as well as educational goals.
Griffith University's Safe Campuses initiative, overseen by the University Executive, Student Life and the People and Culture Advisory Group, is constantly working to increase awareness of any type of violence in the community and empower students and staff with know-how to report incidents and contribute to response and prevention. The university also encourages support-seeking behaviours across the community. An annual report on the activities undertakes as part of the Safe Campuses initiative, and their progress and prevalence, is provided to University Council.

What’s new
Griffith University has been ranked first in Australia for its performance against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022. The University was also ranked number one in Queensland for its progress against SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Griffith University is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and has signed up to the Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Universities Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2021, Griffith University was placed in the global top 50 in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, a first-time occurrence. The rankings are a measure of universities’ achievements against the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with Griffith’s ranking a credible 38 out of 1,115 global institutions, in its first time on the list.
AAUT Awards for Teaching Excellence
Griffith University educators have again been recognised in the Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT), receiving two Awards for Teaching Excellence, an Award for Programs that Enhance Learning and three Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in the 2021 round.
