By doing a Master of Business Analytics you’ll develop the skills to use data to better understand the world around you, opening doors to new exciting job prospects. In this degree, you will learn cutting-edge techniques, and rigorous foundations in statistical thinking, probabilistic modeling and computational techniques.

This degree will prepare you for a career as a statistician or data scientist, and your skill set will be relevant across all industries, giving you the freedom to join an area that inspires you. This is also an area of rapidly increasing demand across the corporate, government and non-profit sectors within Australia and internationally.

This course is suitable for those with an undergraduate degree in quantitative disciplines including mathematics, statistics, computer science or engineering. The content is student-centred, inclusive, accessible and students will be expected to operate as a connected cohort of like-minded people ready to build a better society.

Entry Requirements

Qualifications

Depending on prior qualifications:

Entry level 1: 
Duration: 2 years full time, 4 years part time (96 points)

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65, or an equivalent GPA as approved by the faculty.

Entry level 2:
Duration: 1.5 years full time, 3 years part time (72 points)

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65, or an equivalent GPA as approved by the faculty.

English entry requirements

Level A

English Program Requirements

You can meet English entry requirements if you have completed an English subject in your prior secondary studies that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level (score requirements also apply). Acceptable English subjects for international qualifications are detailed in the prerequisite subject requirements section below. Other English subjects may be accepted and are assessed on a case by case basis.
