Master the media

"How do I turn creativity into a career?" Podcast producer and host Emma Race saw a lack of female perspective journalism covering AFL in traditional media, and used her Monash degree to co-create the Outer Sanctum, now picked up by the ABC.

Monash Media Lab

Explore how to turn your opinions into opinion pieces, your tweets into a journalistic investigation. You'll be using the same equipment as professional media around the world in our television and radio studios and editing suites.

Global Immersion Guarantee (GIG)

GIG is an award-winning initiative that will enable you to explore first-hand the relationships between society, technology and the environment. It’s a two-week, funded study trip for all eligible first-year Monash single or double degree students to one of six destinations.

  • Satisfactory completion of final year secondary school, or equivalent, including English
  • Satisfactory completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB), including English
  • Satisfactory completion of the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA), including English

English Program Requirements

You can meet English entry requirements if you have completed an English subject in your prior secondary studies that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level (score requirements also apply). Acceptable English subjects for international qualifications are detailed in the prerequisite subject requirements section below. Other English subjects may be accepted and are assessed on a case by case basis.
