If you're passionate about a profession that focuses on keeping people moving and helping to improve quality of life, this postgraduate course will give you the qualification you need to work as an accredited Exercise Physiologist.

Develop, implement and manage physical activity and behavioural programs for healthy clients and clients living with a range of chronic conditions, as you explore how exercise can improve health and wellbeing.

Learn about the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs to help prevent and manage chronic diseases and injury.

You'll learn how to provide physical activity and behavioural programs for clients with conditions as diverse as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, respiratory disease and many others.

Professional recognition

Our program has obtained qualifying accreditation and is currently in the process of being fully accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). At the end of your studies, you are eligible to apply for registration with Exercise and Sports Science Australia as an accredited Exercise Physiologist.

Entry Requirements

For admission into one of our postgraduate degrees, you must provide evidence of the successful completion of a relevant degree from a recognised university, in addition to meeting Murdoch’s prescribed English Language requirements. At a minimum, to qualify for one of our postgraduate degrees, you must meet one of the following requirements.

Please note that entry requirements are dependent on the course you wish to study and as such, your specific course may have different entry requirements:

  • A qualification equivalent to an AQF Associate Degree
  • Bachelors degree of AQF Level 7 in relevant discipline
  • Bachelors degree of AQF Level 7 with relevant work experience
  • Bachelors degree of AQF Level 7 with specific professional registration
  • Postgraduate qualification of AQF Level 8 or above
  • Submission of a Portfolio and/or substantial work experience
