About Bachelor in Health Science (Clinical Nutrition)
Learning outcomes
- Consult with the public under guidance of experienced clinical nutritionists.
- Understand the therapeutic use of clinical nutrition in the prevention and treatment of various health conditions.
- Take an evidence-based approach to the science of food and how it can be balanced to nurture good health.
- Know dietary requirements throughout the lifespan and the impact of deficiency and nutritional interventions.
Entry Requirements
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
- Broadly relevant work experience (documented e.g. CV), demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Formal, informal or non-formal study, completed or partially completed, demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Written submission to demonstrate reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Discipline specific portfolio (art and/or design) – applicable to Design only.
International students requirements
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent; and
- Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent.
English Program Requirements
Entry to all courses requires proficiency in English under the English Language Proficiency Requirements. International applicants and domestic applicants who have not studied at the secondary level in English must demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements for English language proficiency, specified by the relevant course as outlined in the Admission Criteria for Torrens University Coursework Programs as listed below.
