About Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine)
Learning outcomes
- Learn how to safely apply acupuncture, and prescribe and dispense Chinese herbs to treat a variety of diseases.
- Explore the relationship between the mind, body and spirit.
- Discover the practical application of ancillary techniques for the clinical practice of acupuncture.
- Learn to apply techniques such as cupping and moxa therapy.
Entry Requirements
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
- Broadly relevant work experience (documented e.g. CV), demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Formal, informal or non-formal study, completed or partially completed, demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Written submission to demonstrate reasonable prospect of success; OR
- Discipline specific portfolio (art and/or design) – applicable to Design only.
International students requirements
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent; and
- Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent.
English Program Requirements
Entry to all courses requires proficiency in English under the English Language Proficiency Requirements. International applicants and domestic applicants who have not studied at the secondary level in English must demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements for English language proficiency, specified by the relevant course as outlined in the Admission Criteria for Torrens University Coursework Programs as listed below.
