About Master (MS) of Engineering Management

The Master of Engineering Management course has been developed for students with an engineering, technology or science background, equipping them with specialised knowledge and practical experience in management. You will develop teamwork and leadership abilities, applying effective engineering management practices in technical organisations. Increased understanding comes through foundational project management skills, innovation and entrepreneurship knowledge, as well as sustainability practices.
The Master of Engineering Management develops your specialised theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of management. The course promotes your ability in engineering management by further developing your cognitive, technical and creative skills so you can solve problems, manage risks and develop strategies in an organisational context. The course promotes your understanding of engineering management concepts through the inclusion of foundational project management skills, innovation and entrepreneurship knowledge, as well as sustainability practices. To qualify for the award of Master of Engineering Management, you must satisfactorily complete a course of study comprising 10 core subjects (100 credit points) and six elective subjects (60 credit points). A combined total of 160 credit points is required. This course is a candidate for accreditation with the ACBSP.
