About Bachelor of Computational Design

The Bachelor of Computational Design at UNSW is a three-year full-time degree that prepares you for a career designing future solutions in the built environment through technology.

Studying this degree, you'll think critically and creatively and see your design solutions brought to life through studio-based classes. You'll learn to approach challenges differently through design-thinking and apply cutting-edge technologies including 3D modelling, digital geometry and parametric design, responsive environments, form making, and robotic and digital fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters.

Supported by our open and inclusive Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, you'll join an interdisciplinary community of practice. Alongside a diverse group of creative and built environment students, staff and industry professionals, you'll work to solve real-world problems.

In your third year you'll complete a project set by our industry partners, meaning you'll graduate with a professional portfolio and the industry connections to launch your career.

All applicants must present a minimum of two Advanced Level (A2) subjects. Entry Scores are calculated from the best two, three, or four A2 Level subjects (excluding repeated subjects) using the following values: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 and E=1.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Results based on scores required for entry into UNSW in 2019 and are only applicable if the Diploma has been completed. Students currently attempting the IB can apply directly to UNSW or through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). For more details, visit www.uac.edu.au

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) (after 2016)

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) based on the total of evidence-based reading and writing and mathematical test scores. Must be provided in conjunction with evidence of successful completion of senior secondary studies.
