About Master of Nursing (Professional Studies)

The aim of the Master of Nursing (Professional Studies) is to provide students who hold an undergraduate nursing degree with the theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills to prepare them for advanced practice in the clinical setting.

Opportunities will be provided for students in their final sessions to synthesise and apply advanced nursing concepts through clinical placements as part of their capstone experience.

Successful completion of a recognised** Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian degree

English Program Requirements

With many English testing centres currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Western Sydney University will temporarily extend the time validity for existing approved official IELTS or TOEFL IBT English test scores to 3 years instead of 2 years before the intended intake commencement for programs requiring IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Changes have also been made to our list of approved English tests. Western will temporarily accept the following alternative English tests for programs requiring IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
